A character made for Hasbro SCAD workshop that I turned from a sculpt for 3D printing to a game character. The process took time but worth it.
The rig was made with Advanced Skeleton, I tried adding extra controls for facial expressions and the branches on her head as well, just so when I animate, the branches look more lively and not just for cosmetics. Since the model does not have eyes, I made her branches more floaty and expressive than normal, so when she moves, those branches will lag behind a little bit while also carrying the scrolls draping down, which can create a lot of nice flowing movements.
I had a lot of fun making this. The hardest part was retopologizing the head of the sculpt because the branches crossed each other, making it harder to reach certain places. Other than that, I explored a lot of new texturing techniques as well as tried out a fantasy realism style, making the character vibrant and saturated while keeping it believable.
